Keeping It Surreal
A weird mix of surrealism, bizarre philosophy, politics, personal views and, of course, smoked salmon milkshakes. One reader said: "....you have an excellant writing style! Thanks for the information and a few laughs!" - Dr. Guy

Sketchy Girl

Here is a cartoon I once drew in a birthday card for a girl I liked ages ago (champas socialist will know who since at the time I wouldn't shutup about her). Looking at it now it is a real wonder she never went out with me.....it probably had something to do with the poem on the inside of the card...a story for another time. The character sketchy girl is LOOSELY based on the aforementioned girl who was quite the raver (BTW sketchy is slang for how you feel after a "big night out" if you get my drift). The last panel was on the inside of the card. Read the comic down then across.
Incidently various Sketchy Girl merchandice (Clothing, mugs, journals, mousepads AND a version of this comic on a card (comes in packs of six)) and also a Keeping It Surreal Baseball Jersey can be purchased at my online shop at:

Holy crap, I've sold out to the man! Don't worry back to my usual wackiness after I get a heap of uni work out of the way.

Oh dear, this really was a shameless plug wasn't it? Still I am a "starving" uni student why shouldn't I try to hock my stuff on the internet, but hey it's my god given right, he said thou shalt hock thine wears after let there be light....crap that rhymes

Hehe...cute...I'm going to look at your stuff at cafepress, too. Glad to see you posting again...and if the male character in the card is designed to resemble you...well, then there's quite a good chance that you're a complete hottie...hahahaha

Thanks Texas, "cute" from you seems to have as many meanings as Aloha, on this occasion I chose to take it as a complement (on the other hand Slinky still hasn't recovered from your last cute comment, but he's a whiny little dick). Well the male character does resemble me a bit (I'm slightly more 3 dimensional and way less gay looking)...I'm way hotter of course...actually the jury is still out on that, I've got nothing to back that up except wishful thinking
Here's a pic for comparson:

It would be pretty cool if someone actually bought something from my store, I wasn't really expecting to earn much from it (and haven't as yet) but I thought there might be some interest. I've been thinking of setting up a T-shirt business for a while so I though cafepress was a good way of feeling out the market. I'd like to have more choice over the designs (and prices) than cafepress gives me.
Don't get too excited about me posting, as I said I have a heap of uni stuff to do, I was just procrastinating by posting this.
P.S. If you do decide to buy a top post us a pic, I wanna see what they look like on a real person.

Aw...the pictures won't show up for me. I'm sure it would be funny, though.

You're just lucky you don't look like the guy in the drawing...
No sketchy girl flags at your store?

Well that was the general idea behind growing the goatee, however there was a girl who thought I was only 17 at the start of last year and that was with the goatee. Though I'd like to think I actually do look older I think it's mostly the photo.
Oh wait...it's fixed. Heh.
Geocities went down for a bit.

Yeah it's a total bloody mystery isn't it
You're just lucky you don't look like the guy in the drawing...
Yeah, he has a hint of Michael Jackson before he turned white, it's a bit disturbing.
No sketchy girl flags at your store?
No. no flags, I could do posters, hell I can even do G-strings, but not flags. It's hard to tell if your being serious.

Toblerone: Hehe...yeah, it was a good cute...hmmm...as in "I liked that, it made me chuckle" kinda cute.
I haven't placed my order yet, but I'll keep you posted when I do, and I'll be sure to post a pic when the shirt comes in. I think selling the t-shirts and goodies is a brilliant idea.
And wow...you are a hottie! You have an awesome smile (oh, and I agree...less gay looking, hehe).

Thanks, as long as it isn't a "you have a very small penis" sort of cute!

No pressure Texas, I won't considered it an insult if you don't buy anything...[irony]of course if you don't my family will starve to death and it will be all your fault [/irony]
And wow...you are a hottie! You have an awesome smile (oh, and I agree...less gay looking, hehe).
Ah shucks, I'm blushing like mad here, you've made my day. I very rarely get complimented on my looks except from people who are contractually obligated to do so. I'm sure I've said so before but you're pretty hot yourself, but I suppose Adrian tells you that all the time
Hope Orian is recovering well.
Have a nice year.

Now this made me laugh... Good one, Tobelerone. I am surprised the girl didn't go for you too. I thought making her a card for her birthday would be a great way to... erm... stoke the fires, so to speak.
I will say this, I'm just not attracted to men with beards, especially men that can grow better ones than me
Cheers,
Maso

If only her mind had worked that way.

Ha ha ha, well last time I check you weren't attracted to men full stop. Actually oddly enough she did say she didn't go for men with beards and the first time she saw me with the beard (I'd known her for 2 years without one) was on the night I gave her the card. I think by that time I'd pretty much given up on her anyway having already unsuccessfully asked her out twice.

Heh, I was joking about the flag. Come to think of it, though, why wouldn't I want to proudly display Sketchy Girl artwork on a flag post for all the world to see?

Thanks, seriously I think I'm going to use you and Texas as a reference!
